Holiday Light Up FAQ's
How much does your service cost?
There is no “set” answer to this question. The cost of our service depends on several things, including the number of light strings you’d like to hang and how high and how long it will take us to put your display together. Our season starts in October and all jobs have to be completed no later than December 1st. Our average job cost is $3500 and our minimum job cost is $1500.
How do you price your projects?
Our estimate team will come out to your home or place of business and consult with you on what type of display you desire. Based upon what you’d like done, we’ll put a quote together for you. Get on the schedule early as it gets very full leading up to the pre-holiday rush that typically starts in early October. Our estimate team consists of a Professional Holiday Lighting Decorator and a North Carolina Licensed Electrician. Our estimate team will give you a rough idea at the point they are there but your final estimate will be provided to you within days via your job page (covered below).
How do I pay for Holiday Light Up services?
After our estimate team has estimated your job, you will be notified of your job page address within our web site (ex: http://www.holidaylightup.com/johnson_job.html) that will contain your specific job requirements, materials and pricing. There will also be a payment link that you will be required to fulfill in order to be placed on our schedule. We require pre-payment in full on all jobs. We only accept major credit cards using the "Ultra Secure Google Checkout". No checks - No Cash.
When is it to late to get on the schedule?
We leave your job page up until the schedule is full. Typically the schedule is full by mid November. Extremely large job pages are normally removed by November 1st as we cannot fit them in at the last minute. You cannot choose your installation date, you will be placed on the schedule according to our work load. All jobs scheduled are completed no later than December 1st. No jobs are scheduled after December 1st as all days after that are dedicated to existing installation service and support.
Can I make changes to the job after I have paid and been placed on the schedule?
We can make very minor changes that do not require materials not already in stock. All changes are subject to surcharge.
Do you take the lights down at the end of the season?
Yes. Taking down the displays is part of our service, and it’s included in your job price. We begin taking lights down on January 2nd and continue to do so through the third week of February. We also organize your supplies in bins so that you can easily access them the following year.
Is your work guaranteed?
100%. We are interested in building long-lasting customer relationships. There are things that can happen to lights for a variety of reasons, including wind, rain and other unforeseen circumstances. If this occurs, our professional staff will return to troubleshoot whatever problem exists quickly and efficiently.
Do you provide lights and supplies?
We have a loaded inventory catalog. The same goes for supplies.
How do I request an estimate?
Please use the estimate request payment button at the bottom of this page. We charge $150 for an estimate which is deducted from your job cost. In years past, we have been so overwhelmed with estimate requests that we could not get to everyone. This seriously affected the estimate teams' ability to take the time necessary to provide potential customers with all the information and materials they needed to make confident decisions about what they wanted. Our estimate team consists of a Professional Holiday Lighting Decorator and a Licensed North Carolina Electrician. They will take all the time that you need to evaluate our available services and products.
We pride ourselves on our ability to make your display stand out among the rest, and our professional team will make sure that your display is tasteful, decorative and properly maintained.
